**Job Description: Med/Surg Telemetry Nurse**
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Med/Surg Telemetry Nurses to join our high-acuity nursing team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care for patients with medical, surgical, and telemetry needs in our Med/Surg Telemetry units. You will collaborate with a diverse team to manage complex cases effectively and deliver optimal patient outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with a variety of conditions including gastrointestinal issues, cardiac illnesses, renal complications, and altered mental status.
- Monitor patient telemetry data and utilize critical thinking to interpret findings, ensuring timely interventions as needed.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while participating in unit activities.
**Unit Structure and Patient Population:**
- **Med 2 Unit:** 24 beds, providing specialized care for patients with medical/surgical and stroke-related needs.
- **Med 3 Unit:** 34 beds, functioning as a general Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 6:1.
**Qualifications:**
- Valid nursing license.
- Strong foundation in Med/Surg nursing with telemetry monitoring experience preferred.
- Excellent assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.
**Additional Onboarding Requirements:**
- Completion of all mandatory competencies and skills checklists.
- Health history documentation including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, and TB test.
- Professional background checks and references.
