This position supports planning, design, and construction projects for municipal and educational clients, with potential local travel for inspections. Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of small to intermediate projects throughout the development lifecycle, including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change. Work closely with stakeholders to define project parameters, translating customer needs into formal requirements using industry knowledge and delivery methodology. Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, and status reports; assign tasks and manage project scope throughout the lifecycle. Manage projects to maintain schedule, budget, and profitability; oversee preparation of plans, specifications, and proposals. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local/state regulations. Oversee and report on construction progress, timeline, and adjustments. Coordinate with other design disciplines (structures, hydraulics, traffic, utilities, etc.). Collaborate with management on long-range plans and objectives, including staffing recommendations and mentoring staff. Review and develop complex layouts, sketches, plans, specifications, estimates, standards, guidelines, and reports; prepare correspondence and reports. Participate in technical proposals and labor estimates development. Maintain positive client relationships and effectively manage a team across multiple projects. Lead in advanced technical concepts in proposal development, preliminary design phases, and client presentations. Represent projects at meetings and conferences; support proposal development, project scoping, and client relationship efforts. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field from an accredited university. Five years of experience in mixed-use project development, management, administration, and inspection with knowledge of construction, engineering, architecture principles and techniques. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously; ability to deal with municipal agencies. Professional Engineering License in Florida OR Registered Architect License in Florida is required. Building Official License in Florida is a plus. Experience with municipal inspections is required. Salary and Benefits Salary range for this role is $105,000 – $140,000 annually, subject to adjustments based on experience, licenses, or certifications.
