Overview Director, Market & Competitive Intelligence at Eightfold – lead the development of proactive, insight-driven intelligence that shapes our go-to-market strategy, product positioning, and strategic growth decisions. Reporting into the Strategic Growth Office, this role equips cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Enablement, with timely, actionable intelligence. You will define and operationalize a forward-looking intelligence model that sharpens Eightfold’s competitive edge, improves field readiness, and drives strategic clarity across the organization.

Build and operationalize a proactive market and competitive intelligence strategy aligned with GTM priorities and product vision Partner with Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership to embed intelligence in early-stage strategy, including ideal customer profiles, personas, and buying triggers Establish a closed-loop intelligence framework to inform roadmap, pricing, and positioning decisions Develop differentiated competitive narratives and enablement content tailored to key buyer segments and priority competitors Lead win/loss analysis and competitor deal support to elevate strategic selling and objection handling Deliver regular briefings and executive-level insights to guide strategic bets, market plays, and investment priorities Create scalable assets and toolkits to ensure field readiness and consistent messaging across product lines Foster a strong feedback loop with the field to continuously refine intelligence products based on real-time market signals Must Haves
8+ years in market intelligence, competitive strategy, or a related GTM role within enterprise SaaS Proven experience operationalizing intelligence functions that drive GTM and product strategy Demonstrated success in influencing cross-functional leadership and aligning stakeholders around insights Deep understanding of enterprise buying behavior and competitive dynamics in HR tech or adjacent categories Excellent storytelling, executive communication, and enablement skills Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations Strong project management and stakeholder alignment capabilities Experience leveraging technology and AI to scale your function Nice To Haves

Please note that this role is only available in our designated hub locations: Greater NYC, NY; Greater Chicago, IL; Greater Atlanta, GA; and Santa Clara, CA. All roles are hybrid. Base pay information: Zone A: SF Bay Area + Greater NYC: $170,000 to $225,000; Zone B: Greater Chicago + Greater Atlanta: $145,000 to $190,000. Compensation varies based on location and other factors, and may include bonuses and equity.
