Experienced Private Client Lawyer
Location: Boston, Lincolnshire Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Overview A highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join its busy and well-established team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload of private client matters while contributing to the departments growth and the firms continued reputation for excellence. The Role The successful candidate will be confident, proactive, and well-organised, with proven expertise in a broad range of private client work, including:
Drafting Wills, including those incorporating trusts for complex family arrangements Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning Preparing and registering Powers of Attorney, EPAs and LPAs Court of Protection matters Administration of taxable and non-taxable estates Advising on and identifying trust administration requirements You will also contribute to departmental marketing initiatives, supporting the firms profile within the community and building strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities
Provide an ongoing, high-quality service to existing clients Collaborate with partners and fee earners to develop new business Contribute to departmental growth and client development Meet agreed fee income targets Keep up to date with relevant legislation and best practice Maintain strong financial control, including billing and cash flow management Carry out fee-earning work in accordance with quality and risk management procedures Person Specification
Essential
Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive Significant experience in private client law, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, estate administration, tax planning, and trusts Strong organisational and caseload management skills Excellent understanding of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors Account Rules Ability to handle sensitive matters and clients with mental capacity issues IT literate, including experience with case management systems Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Desirable
STEP qualification or willingness to work towards it Experience with agricultural estates and/or high-net-worth clients Supervisory experience Marketing, business development, and public speaking skills Existing client following Attributes
Professional, proactive, and positive approach High level of integrity, empathy, and client care Resilient and able to work well under pressure Full driving licence and access to a car for inter-office travel and client meetings Benefits
