Location This role will be based remotely in the US. Summary of Role This is a technical PM role on the Platform Product team. You’ll support our Data Products teams, which deliver device data, energy modeling, and insights to consumers, financial stakeholders, multiple product teams, operations, and customer support. We’re looking for a PM that has the technical depth and vision to reinforce the platform’s foundation and define how it will evolve. Scaling and refining device data is critical to Palmetto, so this is a great opportunity to have a high impact on the core business. You’ll join a tenured engineering team with deep energy data expertise and partner with stakeholders who are passionate about clean energy. Strategic & Tactical Responsibilities Deliver fresh, accurate, and useful data for hundreds of thousands of devices that power homes with clean energy. Define what great looks like for your teams and raise the quality bar for our energy modeling, data visualization, and device monitoring products. Develop a deep understanding of what our customers, businesses, and tech teams need and be their advocate. Proactively communicate. This team’s services are essential to Palmetto. Make sure your stakeholders are heard and have clear expectations of what you’re delivering. Efficiently manage your team with a bias for action. You’ll implement/run processes that help your team deliver quality at speed. Lead prioritization and planning efforts. You’ll craft OKRs, a roadmap, and determine what your teams do (and don’t do). Qualifications 4+ years of product management experience, ideally on platform, data, or ML teams. Experience in engineering, data, or technical program management is welcome. Best idea wins mentality - you foster debate and drive your team to focus on the most impactful outcomes. Data fluency - quantitative rigor and logic are foundational to how you work. You regularly use SQL et al. to inform your decisions and measure success. You have built algorithm-based products. Strong writing and communication skills - you write clear, persuasive PRDs and can influence senior stakeholders Scalability & Performance Optimization - experience in identifying, measuring, and addressing performance bottlenecks in data systems and designing scalable platforms.
