Responsibilities
Design and implement controls software for cathode production equipment (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, DCS). Program, test, and debug automation sequences and interlocks. Collaborate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers. Lead commissioning and bring-up efforts on-site in Reno, NV. Develop diagnostics, alarms, and fault recovery strategies. Optimize control loops and automation performance; document control logic and operating procedures. Support integration with data systems; ensure compliance with process safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. 5+ years of experience in industrial controls or automation engineering. Hands-on experience with PLCs and HMIs; familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems. Strong understanding of industrial sensors and control loop tuning. Experience with system commissioning and startup. Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills. Experience with chemical or materials manufacturing processes is a plus. Location, Travel, and Working Environment
On-site work in Reno, NV with travel up to 100% during commissioning and up to 30% during other periods. Wearing proper PPE; work in office, machine shop, wet laboratory, chemical plant, and outdoor test sites. Employment Details
