Financial Planning & Analysis Consultant Westfield Insurance is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Consultant. This role focuses on financial planning and analysis for claims performance and loss analytics, partnering across Claims, Actuarial, and Finance to understand actual vs. expected results, drivers of frequency and severity, and translate operational impacts into financial outcomes. The consultant also contributes to forecasting, budgeting, and business results communications to support enterprise performance.

Claims Performance Analysis | Understand actual vs. expected claims results and explain drivers of frequency and severity. Loss Trend Insights | Deliver insights into underlying loss cost trends, incorporating external factors and industry benchmarks. Operational Impact Translation | Translate operational and process changes into financial impacts on loss cost outcomes. Cross-Functional Collaboration | Work with Claims, Actuarial, and Finance to support reserving, pricing, and performance. Strategic Forecasting & Budgeting | Assist in forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans aligned with corporate strategy, incorporating claims analytics into financial projections. Financial Modeling & Targeting | Design and maintain models to project claims-related financial performance and identify targets. Insightful Reporting | Analyze financial and operational data to provide timely insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Continuous Improvement | Lead initiatives to improve, automate, and mature financial practices related to claims analytics and FP&A disciplines. Governance & Controls | Support frameworks and tools that enhance oversight of financial and operational processes. Mentorship & Influence | Share knowledge, build financial acumen, and act as a subject matter expert in claims-related financial planning. Job Qualifications
7+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, preferably with exposure to claims, insurance, or loss analytics. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Business, or related field and/or commensurate experience. Location Hybrid—defined as working three or more days per week in the office if within 50 miles of Westfield Center, OH / Chicago, IL; OR Remote if residing more than 50 miles from Westfield Center, OH / Chicago, IL.
