As their client base in the US is organically surging, they’re turning their attention on hiring their first boots on the ground with a local GTM Sales Lead hire, who will play a critical role in driving revenue, shaping the US presence and accelerating growth. Position Overview As the inaugural Business Development role in the US, you will be instrumental in establishing and scaling their business operations across the region. You will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities in the proteomics field, while building long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the academic, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors. The ideal candidate is a natural sales hunter in the multi-omics/proteomics SaaS or services world, entrepreneurial by nature, resourceful, and excited to scale a US business with the support of a global team. Responsibilities Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the proteomics field. Establish and scale business operations across the US region to drive revenue growth. Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders in academia, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors. Collaborate with a global team to execute go-to-market strategies and accelerate growth. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field (advanced degree preferred). Minimum 5+ years of experience in new business development, strategic sales, or account management—ideally in life science solutions or proteomics/omics SaaS sectors. Demonstrated success in selling to research institutions, biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies, or academic labs; ability to engage key decision makers in pharma/biotech is a plus. Strong understanding of proteomics, mass spectrometry, or related scientific workflows is a significant plus. Proven ability to operate independently with an entrepreneurial drive and a solutions-oriented mindset. Comfort with CRM systems, digital prospecting, and remote communication tools.
