The Girl Scout Experience Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of new and existing programs, events, trainings and opportunities throughout Girl Scouts of Citrus Council. The role oversees and manages a variety of experience offerings aligned with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and GS Citrus pillars. This position maintains positive relationships with Community Partners and volunteers, and creates training and education opportunities that enhance members’ experience and support delivery of Girl Scouts. Each Experience Manager acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for part of the GS continuum, collaborating with teammates to deliver a strong overall experience.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of programs and events from planning to execution, including developing program curriculum, designing training materials, budgeting and purchasing, and evaluating program success for youth and adults.

Create innovative ways to promote awareness of Girl Scout initiatives and increase participation in program opportunities.

Assist in developing the annual experience plan by reviewing and analyzing data, research, and recommendations.

Cultivate and sustain relationships with new and existing community program partners; ensure partners align with GSUSA and Girl Scouts of Citrus standards and verify COI status.

Demonstrate effective time management by organizing, prioritizing, and completing multiple assignments within timeframes.

Remain informed and compliant with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, Safety Activity Checkpoints, Volunteer Essentials, Volunteer Tool Kit, Risk Management, Property Guide, Program Initiatives, Badges, and Programs.

Develop, support, and attend Council and Community Partner events and programs.

Attend volunteer meetings, networking events, and community forums to promote program initiatives and partnerships.

Oversee special program areas: Girl Experience Specialties, Outdoor Experience Specialties, Training and Education Specialties, and related activities including large-scale events, clubs, and virtual programming.

Manage the qualifications and scheduling of facilitators, maintain inventories, schedule training, and ensure equipment compliance.

Develop new evergreen training modules and organize large trainings and events to inspire and educate volunteers.

Oversee and schedule volunteer committees, training designs, budget management, and program evaluations; ensure accessibility and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience.

Knowledge of Girl Scouts of Citrus and GSUSA policies and procedures.

Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and project management systems.

Minimum two years of experience working with community partners in the Central Florida community.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Proficiency in Salesforce, Looker, and Litmos platforms.

Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish and English).

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; travel up to 50% of the time.

Valid driver’s license, use of personal vehicle and proof of current vehicle insurance.

Annual GSUSA membership registration and favorable Level 2 criminal background check.

Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work in a team environment and with community partners; strong customer service orientation.

Physical and Other Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer; ability to speak to large groups for extended periods; ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
