Senior Specialist, Tax & Regulatory Compliance
to support both nonprofit and for-profit entities, with a strong focus on income tax preparation, apportionment, and strategic compliance. Responsibilities
Work with federal/state filings (1120, 990T), NetSuite reporting, and collaborate across departments and external advisors. Prepare supporting workpapers for various business income tax filings (federal and state), including apportionment worksheets and tax models. Maintain supporting workpapers for IRS Form 990T, unrelated business activities, and 1120 filings, including indirect overhead allocation worksheets. Collect K-1 investment information. Review income tax forms prepared by outside advisors and stay abreast of form requirements. Recommend estimated tax prepayments and create and administer online income tax prepayment accounts. Coordinate tax forecasting and maintain relevant Excel schedules. Prepare General Ledger tax journal entries, accruals, and reconcile general ledger activity. Work with tax preparers to account for deferred tax assets. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/administration (required). Industry: For Profit/Public Accounting (Required). 1120 Filing Experience. 990T Experience. Strong understanding of Corporate Tax & Tax Law. 5+ years of experience. Job Details
Location: Alexandria Schedule: 3 days in office (Tue, Wed, Thu) Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 Benefits Vision, Dental, Medical, 401(k).
