Job Purpose Manages the planning, development, and implementation of procedures for the testing and evaluation of standard and special devices. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development, and performance management of the staff. Specifies tests to be performed, compiles data, and makes recommendations for changes required in testing equipment procedures, manufacturing processes, new testing requirements and/or design of testing equipment. Recommends the purchase of test equipment. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Responsibilities

Follow Sanmina’s process -- as it pertains to Functional Test Support and Structural Test development -- and provide deliverables that introduce new or First Time Build products and reporting of issues to Manufacturing Engineering. Monitor yield process performance through MESWeb and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Provide coaching to lead the team toward group objectives such as functional and system test support, timely release of test stations to Production, addressing test station yield, performance and capacity, and creation/update of documentation required for test, operator and debug technician support. Monitor and analyze test data, generate reports on test yields and test/product issues. Initiate and implement improvement plans to enhance test yields, cycle time and product quality. Engage in technical discussions with existing or potential customers to support opportunities for the organization. Explain test engineering group capabilities and Sanmina’s test-related processes to customers (e.g., release of new test stations to production). On new projects, define requirements, planning, scheduling, milestones, and costs; assign areas of responsibility and monitor individual objectives; balance workload within the test engineering group. Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced team members; conduct independent research into complex engineering problems to develop operating policies, capabilities, and tests. Troubleshoot and analyze process performance problems; work with Process and Manufacturing Engineering on corrective actions. Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements; contribute to operations engineering and complex solutions. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Minimum of 8 years of Experience in Test Engineering Skills and Competencies

Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer Salary, Benefits, and Other Details Salary Range (annual): $120,000 - $140,000. Actual base pay within this range is determined at the offer stage based on experience, education, certifications, and skills. Benefits include health and life insurance, disability insurance, savings plan, company-paid holidays and PTO, and may include eligibility for restricted stock units and a discretionary bonus program depending on the role.
