The Director, Precision Medicine, Biomarker Lead - Solid Tumor role is critical for the execution of Regeneron biomarker strategies. It will be accountable for leading the development and overseeing execution of biomarker strategies for the Oncology Portfolio in Clinical Development at Regeneron. This is a strategic role responsible for independently designing, developing, communicating at senior levels and overseeing the implementation of clinical biomarker strategies across key programs in early and late stage drug development. It provides subject matter expertise to drive successful relationships with internal groups at Regeneron as well as external KOLs. Oncology programs comprise nearly half of the overall growing Regeneron development portfolio, including novel modalities, targets and combination therapies.
Key Responsibilities
Present strategy-driven biomarker packages at senior leader meetings
Provide strategic leadership and gain broad cross-functional alignment of biomarker strategies with key stakeholders
Develop strategic vision and lead implementation for clinical biomarkers that will broadly enable advances in target identification, indication selection, early indication of biological activity and patient stratification/selection
Oversee and manage Precision Medicine deliverables of multiple programs within the overall oncology portfolio; responsible for end-to-end, high-quality implementation and execution of strategy
Collaborate with Oncology Research and product development teams to facilitate appropriate incorporation of Precision Medicine strategies for molecules in discovery phases (leading to candidate molecule selection) and to further clinical development in Oncology
Collaborate with internal Regeneron functional groups (including Discovery Research, Molecular Profiling, Regeneron Genetics Center, Core Facilities, BioAnalysis, etc.) to develop plan for validation and application of research assays
Qualifications / To be considered
Ph.D. and/or MD equivalent; 10+ years experience participating on cross-disciplinary teams in pharmaceutical or biotech industry, including a minimum of 5 years in oncology clinical drug development
Strong managerial experience, high emotional intelligence, organizational skills and effective team leadership
Ability to drive, manage, complete and deliver results for complex multi-functional projects; thrives in a matrixed environment with cross-team collaboration
Salary Range (annually): $202,000.00 - $336,600.00
