Computer and Information Research Scientist - Advanced B&A is seeking highly motivated, talented professionals to join our team supporting the U.S. Navy. We are looking for an

Advanced Computer and Information Research Scientist (Logistics Information Technology)

to support logistics modernization efforts. This position involves conducting applied research, developing IT solutions, and integrating advanced technologies to optimize Navy logistics systems and processes. Responsibilities

Conduct research into fundamental computer and information science as a theorist, designer, or solutions integrator. Apply expertise in IT hardware and software tools to improve Navy logistics performance support systems. Support program development, project execution, and evaluation of technical solutions for Navy logistics environments. Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives, workforce development, and organizational efforts to modernize logistics IT. Provide expertise in integrating, validating, verifying, and performing data transformation for IETMs (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals), ICW (Interactive Courseware), and LSA (Logistics Support Analysis) databases. Support the adoption of emerging technologies such as

Decision Support Systems, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented/Extended Reality (XR) , and Navy ITEMS. Collaborate with Navy stakeholders and technical teams to ensure successful implementation of logistics IT solutions in operational and sustainment environments. Education and Experience

BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, or a Technical Discipline. Minimum of

seven (7) years of experience , with at least seven years within the last ten years supporting technical and organizational tasks related to:

AIA S-Series Standards and ALEs. Navy ITEMS. ICW, Decision Support Systems, Data Analytics, or XR Technology.

Of the required experience, at least

four (4) years must include integrating, validating, verifying, or performing data transformation for IETMs, ICW, or LSA databases. Required Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability and willingness to travel. Desired Skills

Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field. Experience working in Navy logistics IT programs or other defense logistics modernization initiatives. Familiarity with Navy data systems integration and sustainment practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative IT solutions. Knowledge of advanced technologies (AI/ML, XR, predictive analytics) applied to logistics support. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, cross-functional team environments. Security Clearance
