This is a senior individual contributor role focused on shaping consumer-facing and B2B digital products through vision and craft. You will partner with the Head of Experience Design to drive design quality and strategic coherence across critical workstreams. This role is based in San Francisco and requires strong on-site presence; you will be a visible design leader within the SF studio, guiding direction, unblocking teams, and being hands on.
Responsibilities
Translate complex product requirements into intuitive, elegant interfaces.
Drive end-to-end design strategy, from concept framing to final visual execution.
Shape and evolve the design system to support scale and consistency.
Collaborate tightly with Product Management, Engineering, and Industrial Design to deliver integrated solutions.
Lead design critiques, mentor junior designers, and model excellence across craft, communication, and process.
Key Interfaces Product Management, Engineering, Industrial Design, R&D and Marketing
Qualifications
6+ years of product design experience, with multiple shipped digital products.
Strong portfolio showcasing interaction design, systems thinking, and pixel-perfect execution.
Fluency in Figma, prototyping tools, and storytelling through visuals.
Experience navigating cross-functional teams and driving clarity in ambiguous environments.
Deep understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and platform patterns.
Key Skills
Strategic mindset paired with hands-on craft excellence.
High standards and attention to detail; ability to push and polish.
Comfortable leading by influence without formal management authority.
Skilled at framing decisions and articulating design trade-offs.
Presence and confidence to represent design in senior conversations.
