EVONA
Overview Join a cutting-edge launch provider pushing the boundaries of additive manufacturing and aerospace innovation. As Director of Avionics Manufacturing, you’ll take full ownership of avionics hardware production - from PCBs and harnesses to integrated avionics units - leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver mission-critical systems for next-gen orbital launch vehicles.
Do not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll play a key part in scaling from development to high-rate production, helping shape the future of launch vehicle avionics. Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end manufacturing and testing of avionics hardware, ensuring full lifecycle readiness from process development to vehicle integration Manage and grow a cross-functional team spanning manufacturing engineering, environmental & functional test, and production operations Develop scalable, high-reliability manufacturing processes for PCBAs, harnesses, and integrated avionics systems Drive execution to meet schedule, yield, and quality targets using data-driven risk identification and continuous improvement methods Collaborate closely with engineering, supply chain, integration, and quality to ensure manufacturability and testability at production scale Champion the use of lean principles, automation, and digital manufacturing tools to increase throughput and traceability What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering 10+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or electronics manufacturing, including 5+ years in leadership roles Proven track record of managing complex electro-mechanical production - especially PCB assembly, conformal coating, potting, and harness fabrication Familiarity with avionics test methods including functional validation, RF/electrical testing, thermal, and vibration testing Ability to lead high-performing teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities Bonus If You Have
Experience with space-grade standards such as SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-810, IPC-610/620, and J-STD-001 Space Addendum Background in automated test development, GSE design, or high-voltage battery assembly Track record of applying lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles in high-rate production environments How to Apply Interested in this role or know someone who fits the bill?
