Responsibilities Ready to contribute to Brookings success?

CUE is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Millions Learning team. Reporting to an Assistant Project Director, the Project Coordinator will work on projects associated with the Millions Learning’s Research on Scaling the Impact of Innovations in Education (ROSIE) project and other related research initiatives. The Project Coordinator will have the opportunity to support other research teams within CUE on project coordination tasks as assigned.

Provides primary administrative support and coordinates the planning, execution, and follow-up related to virtual and/or in-person meetings and workshops.

Drafts key takeaway notes from meetings and workshops for review by the Millions Learning team.

Organizes the project’s events calendar, including scheduling and drafting agendas, sending invitations, and managing RSVPs.

Coordinates travel and event logistics for international events, including contracting processes, vendor coordination, and travel arrangements.

Monitors project timelines and work plans, communicates upcoming deadlines, and supports on-schedule implementation of activities.

Tracks and identifies relevant global education events for dissemination and engagement opportunities.

Tracks and inputs data into project monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) plans and trackers.

Serves as a primary point of contact with ROSIE focal points and communicates project activities, deadlines, and events via email and related platforms.

Coordinates with internal colleagues from finance, development, and communications to align timeline workflows and processes.

Leads the Millions Learning social media presence and dissemination of project outputs, exploring new knowledge distribution modalities.

Supports tracking and submission of project expenses.

Other administrative duties as assigned.

Research Coordination (25%)

Proofreads briefing documents, project reports, concept notes, interview transcripts, and other research documents.

Manages citations for external documents, including accuracy and formatting.

Coordinates quality review processes for external documents, including timelines with peer reviewers and editors.

Coordinates design, copy editing, and translation processes with external vendors and finance for contracts and timelines.

Collects, organizes, and tracks data submissions and documentation from research partners.

Monitors and summarizes current events and research related to scaling in education.

Serves as a project liaison and note-taker during calls with partners and colleagues related to the ROSIE project.

Drafts and formats slide decks for scholar presentations of research.

Other research coordination duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in sociology, economics, international affairs, education, political science or related social science field required. Strong academic record. Minimum of two years of work experience in project coordination and logistical support in an academic, think-tank or NGO environment. Prior experience organizing events and meetings with senior stakeholders. Experience living, working and/or studying abroad is a plus. French language fluency is also a plus.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofreading. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Cooperative attitude and flexibility to work as part of a remote team. Administrative experience with strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Professional demeanor, high cultural competency, and ability to work with diverse individuals. Ability to work under pressure with poise and discretion. Knowledge of global education issues strongly preferred. Complete fluency in written and spoken English. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
