Overview Treasury Management Consultant II

This role is focused on generating new-to-bank and developing existing full-service treasury management relationships. The role involves selling and maintaining depository accounts and treasury management services for new and existing Capital One relationships across our Specialty Organization (Healthcare, Financial Institutions, Technology, Media & Telecom, Food & Beverage, and Private Equity Sponsors). The Treasury Management Consultant (TMC) partners with internal stakeholders to be the single point of accountability and/or advise on prospects' and clients' deposit, treasury management, risk and other liquidity needs. The TMC builds a book of business through deposit growth, maintaining and cross-selling existing clients, and prospecting for new-to-bank relationships. The TMC collaborates to improve the client experience, enhance Capital One’s brand, and acts as a trusted advisor to understand business needs, optimize cash flow, and minimize financial and reputational risk. The TMC creates and delivers customized client-centric solutions through a consultative approach, leveraging a network and collaborating across business lines to meet client needs while using sound risk judgment. This role works independently with initiative and requires limited guidance from the sales leader. Responsibilities
Identifies internal and external prospects; develops and maintains relationships to profitably expand business Provides thought leadership through corporate events, industry conferences, and related activities Collaborates with internal marketing to design sales collateral and company-sponsored marketing Manages a portfolio of existing clients focused on profitable, organic revenue growth and minimizing attrition Manages a portfolio of new-to-bank clients with focus on revenue growth Develops and maintains relationships to maintain and expand existing business Identifies business activity, communicates operational credit exposures and other risks Understands treasury management product risk and ensures adherence to Capital One credit policies and mitigates other risks (reputational, legal) Establishes onboarding expectations including documentation and ramping of sold services Conducts independent and co-dependent sales calls to generate new, high-quality, profitable Treasury Management and deposit business to meet YoY growth goals Engages in local industry associations, networking groups, and community associations Identifies working capital efficiency opportunities and deepens relationships; stays aware of market trends and escalates dissatisfiers as needed Identifies and refers ancillary business opportunities Designs customer-centric treasury management solutions and provides consultative expertise on the liquidity management cycle Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent At least 4 years financial services experience At least 3 years of sales experience At least 3 years of treasury management experience Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Military experience At least 4 years of in-depth treasury management experience or related experience Basic to in-depth treasury management product knowledge Strong financial and business acumen Strong oral and written communication skills Certified Treasury Professional designation or equivalent Note:

Salaries are for candidates hired to work in one of the listed locations and refer to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. Locations and ranges: Chicago, IL: $115,200 - $131,500 (Treasury Management Consultant II) McLean, VA: $126,700 - $144,600 (Treasury Management Consultant II) New York, NY: $138,300 - $157,800 (Treasury Management Consultant II) Candidates hired in other locations will receive the pay range associated with that location. The actual offer will be documented in the offer letter. This role may be eligible for performance-based incentives (cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives).
