Required: A minimum of seven years restaurant or food service management experience including production, service, sanitation, training and education. Required LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS: Serve Safe Certified obtained within 6 months of employment. Additional certifications required by federal, state and/or local regulations. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Culinary, Restaurant/Institution Management, Dietetics or Nutrition. Position Overview / Responsibilities
Coordinates activities of all Dietary Staff on the Dietary Team. Trains new employees and conducts performance evaluations and corrective actions as necessary. Maintains high standards in Kosher food preparation and service. Ensures that diets are served accurately and that substitutions are appropriate. Plans weekly menus in advance and orders all supplies to ensure meals are complete. Keeps records of food served, substitutions, purchases and usages. Maintains files or binders updated on recipes for all items. Inspects purchased food for high standard quality. Participates in resident care meetings, infection control, and special events as needed. Responsible for all special events related to food and services. Maintains a safe work environment for all Dietary Staff. Works closely with maintenance regarding codes, regulations and repairs of equipment. Attends and participates in all necessary management meetings and forums. Hours Full-time, Monday through Friday; some evenings and weekends may be required to manage the department. Benefits
