This role supports the design, development, and construction of electrical infrastructure with a focus on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, investigation, remediation, impact assessment, permitting, design, development, and construction of utility, industrial, and commercial scale projects. Assist with research, design, concept development, and construction of transmission and distribution substations, power distribution, power regulation, renewable energy, and protection and control systems across utilities, transportation, buildings, and government projects. Generate accurate reports and documentation regarding materials, installations, components, and construction specifications; ensure quality meets industry standards for design, safety, and functionality. Collect, compile, and analyze data related to substation components, equipment specifications for procurement, design reviews, and IEEE/NESC/NERC standards and regulations. Review third-party design documents, procurement lists, and project plans; participate in design collaboration with cross-functional teams. Perform professional electrical engineering work including single-line and three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, general arrangement, substation layout, grounding, and protection concepts. Develop electrical calculations for loads, sizing, voltage drop, grounding, lighting, and power distribution; prepare tables, charts, sketches, calculations, and visuals for analyses. Support senior engineers with research on components, field equipment applications, and operational considerations; provide technical assistance on design and field issues. Ensure compliance with permit requirements, regulatory documentation, and project specifications; assist in developing and scoping small- to medium-sized projects. Collaborate with engineers and disciplines on projects involving electrical infrastructure authorities at federal, state, and local levels. Contribute to health and safety plans (HASPs) and maintain quality control standards for measurements and reporting. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering. 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in electrical engineering or electrical design. Engineer in Training Certification. Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design/build processes, and permitting considerations. Experience with infrastructure planning, design, construction management, and rehabilitation/new design. Ability to coordinate with regulators and understand requirements; familiarity with electrical codes and compliance practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for both engineering and non-engineering audiences; detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; competent with technical writing and use of spreadsheets and related tools. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for data analysis, testing, and developing effective solutions. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies; willingness to travel occasionally as project needs require. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Engineering.
