Toms River, NJ Job Overview DJG Insulation is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Energy Auditor to join our field operations team. This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives on optimizing energy efficiency, understands building science, and enjoys hands-on work in both residential and commercial environments. As an Energy Auditor, you'll evaluate buildings for energy efficiency, recommend cost-saving solutions, and contribute directly to making homes and buildings more comfortable and environmentally responsible. If you're passionate about sustainability, enjoy problem-solving, and like to travel, this opportunity is for you. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive energy audits on residential, commercial, and government buildings. Identify energy inefficiencies, assess insulation effectiveness, and recommend improvement measures. Use diagnostic tools (e.g., blower doors, infrared cameras) to assess air leaks and insulation quality. Prepare detailed reports and present findings to customers in a clear, professional manner. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of weatherization and insulation projects. Travel to various job sites across New Jersey and nearby regions. Stay up to date on industry standards, building science practices, and BPI certification requirements. Maintain accurate records of work performed and audits completed. Qualifications
BPI Certification (required) Minimum of 2 years' experience in energy auditing, insulation, or related field. Strong understanding of building science, HVAC systems, and energy efficiency principles. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently. Willingness to travel regularly within New Jersey. Valid driver's license. Benefits
