Position Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Growth
Partner with CEO and leadership to guide key financial and operational decisions, long-term planning, and capital allocation.
Oversee FP&A, forecasting, pricing, utilization, profitability, and margins to drive organic growth.
Financial Operations & Systems
Build scalable finance and accounting processes for accurate month-end close, GAAP compliance, and timely reporting.
Develop KPIs for revenue, margins, utilization, and project profitability; lead budgeting and forecasting.
M&A Integration
Plan and execute post-acquisition integration, ensuring systems alignment, accurate financial tracking, and post-close deliverables.
External Relations & Compliance
Serve as primary contact for investors, board, banks, and auditors; manage reporting, covenant compliance, and potential liquidity events.
Ensure tax compliance, regulatory adherence, risk management, and financial controls.
Team Leadership
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills Required Experience and Qualifications
10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role in a marketing agency, consultancy, or professional services firm.
Experience must include track record working with project-based businesses, including supporting project-based deliverables, revenue recognition, and analytics.
Prior experience working directly with private equity, including Board and PE reporting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior executives and stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Proven ability to lead financial strategy, FP&A, and systems modernization.
Previous accountability for tax workflows is required.
Prior experience working with lenders and managing reporting and covenant compliance.
Proven track record of M&A, including integrating acquired companies and completing transaction accounting.
Track record of building scalable infrastructure and managing change through periods of high growth or transformation.
Degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
CPA.
Previous accountability for audit workflows.
Experience working with founders.
Healthcare industry experience, especially with B2B businesses selling to hospitals, health systems, or multi-location provider groups.
