About the Role: As a Server in the hospitality, tourism, and recreation industry, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base. Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods. Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring presentation and quality standards are met. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and respond promptly to any requests or complaints. Process payments accurately and handle cash or electronic transactions securely. Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including setting and clearing tables. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe dining environment. Collaborate with team members to support smooth restaurant operations during peak and off-peak hours. Skills: The required skills such as effective communication and customer service are essential for engaging with guests, understanding their needs, and providing clear information about menu options. Attention to detail and multitasking skills enable the server to manage multiple tables simultaneously while ensuring accuracy in orders and timely service. Basic math and cash handling skills are used daily to process payments and provide correct change.
