Job Description: Packaging Associate
Job Summary:
The Packaging Associate supports the packaging team in the production of high-quality products, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while minimizing waste
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the setup of jobs and operational procedures as part of onboarding and training programs. Review daily work schedule and prepare materials accordingly for production. Perform hand collating, final assembly, and kit building on production lines as directed. Ensure correct sequencing and quality of packaging projects. Pack materials onto pallets, corrugated cartons, or carts following specifications. Inspect products visually for quality defects and report issues to line leads. Operate basic auxiliary equipment such as manual shrink wrappers, cartoners, and box cutters under supervision. Stage jobs for upcoming production runs by loading materials onto production lines. Maintain a safe work environment by following established procedures and correcting hazards promptly. Adhere to company policies, security protocols, standard operating procedures, and ISO requirements. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure efficient operation of the packaging unit. Occasionally perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed. Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required. Effective customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to understand and apply written and verbal instructions. Clear communication skills, both orally and in writing. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively. Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 60 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. Ability to stand for long periods according to shift requirements.
