Overview: The Primary Therapist is a key clinical role responsible for providing individual and group therapy to patients participating in Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP). This position ensures the delivery of high-quality care through comprehensive treatment planning, case management, and therapeutic interventions. Key Responsibilities: Therapeutic Services: Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve therapeutic goals. Case Management: Coordinate with healthcare providers, case managers, and support staff to ensure integrated patient care. Serve as the primary point of contact for patients’ families, providing updates and support as needed. Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all therapeutic interactions and case management activities. Clinical Assessments: Perform comprehensive clinical assessments to determine patients’ mental health and substance abuse needs. Utilize assessment findings to inform diagnosis and treatment planning. Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to all clinical protocols, ethical guidelines, and regulatory standards in delivering patient care. Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development activities. Qualifications: Education:

Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

Licensing/Certifications:

Must hold a valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Florida.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health or substance abuse treatment settings, preferably in IOP or PHP.

Skills:

Strong therapeutic and case management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Work Environment and Physical Demands: Primarily office-based with some off-site visits as needed. Requires sitting, standing, and occasional light lifting.
