Bankruptcy Associate Attorney – New York | Boston Direct Counsel is seeking a
Bankruptcy Associate Attorney
to join a
leading Am Law 100 firm
with a nationally recognized Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice. About the Practice The Bankruptcy & Restructuring team advises clients on workouts, out-of-court restructurings, Chapter 11 and Chapter 9 bankruptcy cases, and related federal and state court litigation. The practice covers all aspects of bankruptcy, restructuring, and creditors’ rights law, representing secured and unsecured creditors, committees, bondholders, indenture trustees, Chapter 11 debtors, and other parties in insolvency and distress-related matters. Responsibilities
Handle business bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including in-court Chapter 11 practice and out-of-court restructurings
Conduct research, draft pleadings, and prepare memoranda with precision and attention to detail
Collaborate with colleagues and clients to address complex financial and legal challenges
Qualifications
JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school
Admission (or eligibility for admission) in
New York or Massachusetts
At least
1 year of bankruptcy and restructuring experience
Strong research, writing, and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Professional presence and ability to engage with demanding clients
Commitment to teamwork and collaboration
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range:
$225,000 – $235,000
Bonus eligible

Hybrid work schedule (approximately 60% in-office)
