Analytical Lab Technician Location: Cincinnati, OH 45232 Pay: $21/hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Analytical Lab Technician to support chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, additives, pigments, inks, and solvents. This role requires operating analytical instruments, ensuring compliance with safety and ISO standards, and maintaining accurate documentation. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in chemistry, hands-on experience with lab instrumentation, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Responsibilities
Perform chemical and physical analysis following approved methodologies. Operate analytical instruments, including ICP, GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and KF titrator. Conduct ISO calibration of equipment. Ensure compliance with site regulations, safety guidelines, chemical hygiene rules, and ISO standards. Perform repetitive analysis for quality control (QC). Order and maintain laboratory supplies. Accurately document all experiments, procedures, and results in line with the Quality Management System. Skills & Competencies
Basic math, chemistry, and science knowledge. Familiarity with chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques (HPLC, GC, ICP, UV-Vis, FTIR), titrations, pH, and conductivity measurements. Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Word. Ability to multitask and work well within a team. Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and problem-solving skills. Flexible, self-motivated, and detail-oriented. Ability to perform light manual work in a chemistry lab environment. Education & Experience
Associate degree in a chemistry-related field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent with chemistry coursework required (others considered based on aptitude). Minimum 1 year of experience in an analytical chemistry lab. Strong awareness of safety and laboratory ethics.
