Job Description Responsibilities:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager - Electro-Mechanical Category will develop the category strategy for the assigned industry segment and oversee its implementation across the GSG/CSS segment.
Develop commodity strategies to meet the company's future needs, drive best practices, and achieve year-over-year productivity and cost savings in direct materials.
Partner with key stakeholders such as product development teams, engineering, operations, quality, finance, and planning to ensure the supply chain supports product quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
Establish and manage supplier relationships to improve supply chain and R&D efficiency.
Lead strategic sourcing activities for the electro-mechanical category, balancing cost, cycle time, and quality.
Manage supplier capabilities, including capacity planning, tooling, and inventory management.
Participate in industry research and market surveys to stay current with best practices and market demands.
Analyze system capabilities to support the supply chain and collaborate with electro-mechanical leads to meet business objectives.
Represent GSG in dealings with suppliers at the executive level.
Work with sourcing leads to ensure a robust pipeline of materials for new projects.
Benchmark the existing supply base globally and provide guidance on cost, futures, and availability.
Lead the assigned industry segment to achieve best-in-class performance.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of relevant experience in supply chain or technical roles within high-volume manufacturing.
Sourcing or manufacturing experience in the electronics or electro-mechanical industry.
Preferred: 3 years in electro-mechanical category sourcing.
Desirable: experience with electro-mechanical materials and design.
Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification preferred.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Leadership skills including setting direction and influencing others in a matrix organization.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
CPIM or CPM certification preferred.
