Employee will complete a wide range of responsibilities with 100% of the time spent in-house locally in Monroe, NC. The technician will work on complex OEM textile manufacturing equipment as a machinery mechanic to complete repair, maintenance, refurbishment, assembly, and commissioning of machines onsite at the local manufacturer’s facility. The employee will aid in the production of new machines and the

repair/refurbishment/maintenance

of parts and machine subassemblies. Duties will also include calibration of electrical PLC controls and machinery produced by the company, as well as troubleshooting and problem-solving. All required work will be self-guided and managed, with the company expecting a high level of successful results. The position will start as a Contract-to-Hire situation for the first 16 weeks to assess competency. RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete and submit task reports that capture all time and work completed in-house Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventative maintenance for the company’s textile manufacturing machinery Complete onsite system audits and evaluations Be mechanically proficient using tools and machine assembly knowledge to aid in production, testing, and commissioning start-ups Self-manage execution of production schedules, maintenance plans, goal achievement, and other duties as assigned. REQUIRED

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to work up to 12-hour days, as needed. General schedule will be 8 -10 hours/day. Machine Diagnostics and Troubleshooting Understanding of machine Blueprints, Electrical schematics, and other design documents Working knowledge of machine Electrical Controls, including PLC Programming (Company Uses Automation-Direct and Parker SSD Drives) Ability to bring and use One’s OWN Hand Tools Process and Mechanical Aptitude for complete machine set-up and disassembly Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics 5+ years experience working with machinery, including electrical drives and controls 2+ years experience performing Machine Maintenance Strong Written and Verbal Communication Proficient with computers, MS Office Suite
