Professional Growth As a Service Technician, you are a valued member of our team, performing: Handle inbound and outbound calls. Respond to email inquiries in a timely manner Interact with internal and external customers via phone and in person. Continuous monitoring and maintenance of the Asist Case activity (scheduling board) throughout the day, routinely checking all open calls and dispatch accordingly. Create and dispatch work order request to technicians. Dispatch Technicians to service calls Responsible for billing and creating invoices Managing Work in Process through Fusion Responsible for overall customer communications as it regards to equipment and/or services provided Responsible for dispatch scheduling with internal and external partners, ensuring all necessary information to complete the service is provided Create and communicate detailed quotes for equipment and or service requests as needed Asist the Fleet Support Coordinator Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and performs repair. Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended. Communicates with service advisor/dispatcher immediately on repair updates and or delays. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Ensures that vehicle is kept clean. Notifies service advisor/dispatcher immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. Operates all tools/equipment in a safe manner and reports any safety issues immediately to management. Preferred Candidates have the following: Ten plus years related experience and/or training Master Technician Certifications in multiple areas. Cummins Engine Repair Certification required Valid CDL License required.
