ourBRIDGE for KIDS Mission To foster the education, acculturation, and wellbeing of newly arrived refugee, immigrant, and first-generation American children and their families. Do you thrive in diverse settings and love working with children? ourBRIDGE for KIDS is seeking a Lead Classroom Facilitator for our afterschool program serving elementary-age students from around the world. This role is ideal for: Solution-oriented problem solvers who take initiative Curious minds open to professional growth and training People who are passionate about culture, diversity, and social justice High-energy leaders who bring positivity and flexibility every day **Extensive training is provided. We celebrate differences and support you as you grow.** Position Highlights Type: Part-Time (23hrs/week + paid training hours; occasional weekends/events) Schedule: MondayFriday 2:00pm6:30pm (follows CMS school calendar) Compensation: $16$19/hr based on experience Reports to Program Manager Work Environment: Fast-paced, hands-on, multicultural What Youll Do Collaborate daily with your supervisor, co-facilitators, and volunteers to plan and deliver high-quality educational programming Lead engaging activities that foster English language growth, emotional wellbeing, and cross-cultural understanding Create a positive, trauma-informed classroom culture rooted in our LERD values (Love, Education, Respect, Diversity) Take initiative to adapt lessons for students with varying English proficiency share ideas to make curriculum relevant and fun! Monitor and support academic progress for all students Lead Community Circles focused on safety, relationship-building, and social-emotional learning Communicate with lead staff about logistics and classroom needs Manage classroom routines: attendance, meal distribution, cleanliness, and club activities Maintain a welcoming atmosphere laughter and creativity encouraged! Step in to help co-workers as needed, and support special events (some weekends/evenings) Qualifications & Skills Willingness to learn: We provide extensive training; experience with English Language Learners and multicultural communities is valued, but not required High energy & flexibility: Thrive in dynamic environments; able to manage multiple priorities Initiative & problem solving: Look for better ways to engage students and support the team Passion for culture & diversity: Want to help students and families feel at home, proud, and confident Relationship builder: Strong interpersonal skills with children, families, and staff of all backgrounds Able to maintain confidential and sensitive information Bilingual abilities are a plus Willingness to get CPR/First Aid certification
