Position Summary: The Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing inventory control functions within the warehouse, ensuring product accuracy, integrity, and availability to meet customer requirements. This role provides direction to inventory associates, monitors stock levels, and partners with operations, inbound, and outbound teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance with company procedures and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities: Lead daily inventory activities, including cycle counts, slotting, replenishment, adjustments, and audits. Supervise and support inventory control associates, providing training and guidance on procedures and best practices. Monitor inventory accuracy within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure timely system updates. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, or mis-shipments in coordination with operations and customer service. Track and report key inventory metrics, such as accuracy rates, shrinkage, and cycle count completion. Collaborate with inbound and outbound leads to ensure smooth product flow and correct stock allocation. Conduct root-cause analysis of recurring inventory issues and recommend process improvements. Ensure compliance with SOPs, customer requirements, and safety standards. Act as the point of contact for customer and internal audits related to inventory. Provide input on employee performance, assist with scheduling, and escalate issues to management as necessary. Requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred. 2+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse, distribution, or 3PL environment. 1+ years of lead or supervisory experience preferred. Strong knowledge of WMS systems, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with cycle counting methods, slotting, replenishment strategies, and root-cause analysis. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, lifting, climbing, and working in warehouse conditions. Position Type:
Full-time, on-site position. Schedule flexibility required (overtime, weekends, or evenings as needed).
