Position Summary The Project Engineer provides vital support in estimating, preconstruction, and project management for heavy civil and water/wastewater projects. This is a great role for someone detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow into project leadership while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to ACE's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Support estimating by attending turnover meetings, collecting bids, and assisting with change order pricing. Participate in preconstruction activities and purchasing. Review submittals and shop drawings, conduct quality control checks, and track materials and deliveries. Update and develop project schedules with project managers. Draft RFIs, review contract plans, and coordinate with superintendents to resolve issues. Manage purchase orders and subcontracts, negotiate with vendors, and approve invoices. Maintain accurate project documentation, perform safety audits, and prepare work packs. Monitor budgets, labor reports, and cost codes. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of experience, or 7+ years equivalent. Strong organizational and communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to problem-solve and adapt in a dynamic environment. Commitment to safety and ACE's values. Leadership Competencies
