The Role
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented
Sr. Manager, Strategic Quoting & Commercial Excellence
to lead our quoting and RFQ processes within Material Support Services (MSS) and more broadly own the Commercial Excellence function within the Commercial Operations & Strategy team. This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of RFQ management, from intake and internal coordination to customer-facing submissions, ensuring precision, alignment, and timely execution. In addition, this role will assume responsibility for defining & overseeing the execution of commercial best practices across Emotiv. The ideal candidate is an innovative, data-driven leader with a strong commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
What You'll Do RFQ Intake & Commercial Kickoff:
Serves as the initial point of contact for incoming RFQs related to Material Support Services (MSS). Initiates internal quoting activities, sets clear execution timelines, and ensures alignment on scope, volumes, commercial terms, and deliverables across all stakeholders. Cross-Functional Program Orchestration:
Leads collaboration across operations, engineering, supply chain, and finance to ensure comprehensive input. Utilize standardized TPI Kaizen tools and future-state workflows to streamline data collection, resolve ambiguities, and align teams on key assumptions, roles, and timelines. Commercial Coordination & Finance Integration:
Consolidates cross-functional inputs into a cohesive, actionable quoting package for the Commercial Operations Finance Manager. Maintains ownership of non-financial assumptions and customer-specific variables, serving as the central reference point. Customer Quote Submission & Feedback Integration:
Manages the customer-facing delivery of cost cards and associated documentation. Manages customer inquiries, negotiates clarifications, and ensures timely follow-up. Leads iterative quoting cycles based on customer feedback and strategic business direction. Award Transition & Program Support:
Ensures a smooth transition from quote award to program launch by coordinating with commercial and operational teams. Provides key context and support to the Contract Management team to support successful execution and alignment with customer expectations. Commercial Excellence Establishment & Execution:
Beyond the quotation-related scope of MSS, defines fundamental Commercial Excellence (ComX) processes, policies, & associated analytics for all major elements of Emotiv's commercial execution chain including customer engagement, new business opportunity pipeline, quotations, contract formation, and post-award pricing discipline. Leads the installation of analytical & KPI discipline through tools such as Power BI and Excel to drive organizational alignment around Emotiv's commercial priorities. Who You Are
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field Minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing or engineering, with hands-on product costing. Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement as applied to commercial environments. Proficient in computer-based applications, with strong skills in spreadsheet analysis and data interpretation. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
