Assist the social media team by designing social media graphics, filming and editing video, and taking photos to be posted on UGA social channels Assist in the brainstorming and development of social content that assists in the larger goals of the social team and the MARCOMM office Attend events to film and photograph for social content Learn and adhere to the institution's brand guide Other duties as assigned

Position Summary
The UGA Division of Marketing & Communications is looking for a student intern to join the Social Media team in the creation of visual and social content. This position is for a part-time student intern who will work a consistent 15-19 hour weekly schedule.
The Division of Marketing & Communications (or "MARCOMM") is the central marketing and communications unit of the University of Georgia. Our team promotes the institutional brand messaging to its various audiences via our strategic marketing and media relations teams
Examples of university-wide marketing communications projects that we handle:
• PSA national broadcast commercial (debuts fall season but is used throughout the year)
• Undergraduate/graduate commencement
• Game Changers
• UGA Research
• Georgia Magazine (UGA alumni magazine)
• Football season coverage
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
Currently enrolled undergraduate at UGA Basic understanding of social media editing, design, and strategy Major in Marketing, Communications, EMST, PR/advertising, or related field preferred, but not required Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator (After Effects is a plus), CapCut Self-starter and pays close attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to meaningfully contribute in meetings Strong time management skills, discipline to meet deadlines, and the ability to work without direct supervision Open to constructive feedback and willing to learn and grow Available 15-19 hours per week on a regular schedule. Plans to be enrolled at UGA through at least Spring semester 2026
