A family in Maitland is seeking a professional housekeeper for their 3,400 sq. ft. single-family home. The household consists of a couple and their two small Jack Russell dogs. They occasionally host guests. The family is seeking a discreet, professional housekeeper with prior experience in a private home, a solid work history, and an interest in long-term employment.
Schedule: 3 days per week - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Potential for full-time employment in the future.
Key Responsibilities: • Maintain an immaculate home environment through comprehensive cleaning of all surfaces, including floors, ceilings, baseboards, shelving, drawers, appliances, mirrors, ceiling fans, and cabinet tops • Vacuum and spot-clean rugs, couches, and hard-to-reach areas regularly • Deep-clean all rooms of the house from top to bottom on a routine schedule • Keep bathrooms stocked with extra supplies and ensure they remain clean and organized • Handle all household laundry, including washing mattress pads, pillow covers, duvet covers, following specific instructions for bed making and laundering • Manage kitchen and dining areas by cleaning dishes (including careful handwashing of delicate or labeled items), keeping the pantry and refrigerator organized, and maintaining cleanliness in drawers and cabinets • Perform light meal preparation such as chopping vegetables, washing fruits, and pre-prepping meals • Monitor household supply inventory, report needs or repairs, and retrieve garbage cans before leaving each day • Maintain outdoor spaces by sweeping or blowing patios and turf, wiping down patio furniture, removing webs from the exterior, and cleaning the outdoor kitchen and grill • Clean reachable windows and door tracks as part of regular upkeep • Care for two small dogs, including daily cleaning and refilling of water bowls and occasional pet care duties • Run local errands, including grocery shopping, UPS drop-offs, and other household tasks • Organize and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the home, including drawers, shelves, closets, and the garage • Replace or refill soap, sponges, and other supplies as needed • Follow any additional household instructions to ensure the home meets the family's preferences and standards
Requirements: • Solid work history - at least 5 years of private residence housekeeper experience • References from previous employer[s] • Strong understanding of luxury home standards, cleaning protocols, and high-end materials • Must be proactive, discreet, and have exceptional attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits: $30 to $35 per hour, other benefits to be discussed.
