Senior Principal Engineer, Process Control & Improvement (Onsite)
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer, Process Control & Improvement (Onsite) to support the Commercial Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) program within the Commercial Engines, Aftermarket Operations organization. This onsite role focuses on owning and executing Special Procedures technical guidance and training, managing controlled build (CB) PFMEA processes, and identifying technical data (TD) opportunities for improvement across the GTF aftermarket network of Disassembly, Assembly & Test (DAT) sites. The role also leads process councils to drive improvements across the DAT network and supports the disassembly and assembly of jet engines as part of the CE Ops DAT Readiness & Excellence Team. Onsite work locations may include East Hartford, CT; Columbus, GA (CEC); West Palm Beach, FL (GTF MRO), or Midland, GA (PW103). What You Will Do Own Special Procedures curriculum and provide training throughout the DAT network. Manage Engineering Change (EC), Service Bulletin (SB) or Critical To Quality (CTQ) controlled builds, identifying opportunities for TD changes benefiting the DAT network. Create Master PFMEA catalog identifying appropriate control measures enabling risk reduction to acceptable levels. Implement process improvements (leverage PFMEA, FPY, etc.) and influence TD changes to increase First Pass Yield (FPY) across DAT processes. Establish MRO/OEM Process Councils to drive joint problem-solving and share learnings network-wide. Feed TD update opportunities to the Industrial Readiness team for incorporation into the Engine Manual (EM). Lead network-wide improvement projects (with DAT support). Identify opportunities to increase quality and efficiency through new processes or technology. Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies. Expected Travel: 1015% (domestic and international).
Qualifications You Must Have
Advanced degree and 7+ years of engineering, operations and/or technical experience within an Aerospace manufacturing or engine assembly environment; OR Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelors degree in STEM field; Engineering preferred. Advanced knowledge and experience with gas turbine engines, ideally within a Disassembly, Assembly & Test (DAT) or FAA Repair Station environment. Familiarity with 14 CFR Part 145 as it pertains to repair station quality requirements. Experience reading and interpreting engine manuals and overhaul quality standards. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma). Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP and Solumina G8 or equivalent Engine Maintenance System. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including senior level management.

Role Type: Onsite. This role is onsite with primary work at locations including East Hartford, CT; Columbus, GA; West Palm Beach, FL; or Midland, GA. Travel expected: 1015% (domestic and international). Compensation & Benefits
The salary range is 124,000 USD 250,000 USD.
