Senior DevOps Engineer - $20K Sign On Bonus - 23292
at Mission Technologies, a division of HII. This role is on-site at the customer site in Fort Meade, MD (4-5 days per week) with travel up to 20% (CONUS). Essential Job Responsibilities Build, design, implement, and refine cloud architecture while providing prescriptive guidance across the network and security Support development and deployment of non-cloud (Edge) infrastructure of on-premise and portable equipment Lead early scoping definitions and identifies critical dependencies Collaborate with functional business units to drive business solutions and direction Automate deployment processes and ensure reliability and scalability of services Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS Act as the primary escalation point for tier 3 operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis Collaborate with development teams to integrate their applications into the infrastructure Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure Possess the ability to serve as an organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs; acting as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Security Clearance A current Top Secret (TS/SCI) U.S. Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required. 15+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development and Bachelors in related field; or 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience. Strong knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting Proficient in configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Puppet Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure Experience with application and OS deployment, scaling, and management Ability to develop in multiple programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go Familiarity with Git and other development tools Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues Excellent oral and written communication skills Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites Must have a DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (i.e. Security+) Must be able to work on-site at least 4-5 days per week at the customer site in Fort Meade, MD Must be able to travel CONUS up to 20% of the time
Preferred Requirements
Experience with big data technologies like: Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc. Experience with containers EKS, Diode, CI/CD, and Terraform are a plus

Compensation
Anticipated Salary Range: $165,033.00 - $215,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. When extending an offer, factors include role function, internal equity, and a candidate's education or training, work experience, certifications and key skills. Occasionally positions/roles may include additional non-recurrent compensation and will be addressed by the recruiter during the interview process.
