HIRING 1st & 2ND SHIFT INDUSTRIAL MECHANICS
Pay: $28-$35/hr
Location: Cedar Rapids, IA
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform mechanical services on equipment across our facility. This role requires a strong working knowledge of precision alignment, welding, blueprint reading, mathematics, and both preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools and capable of performing welding and fabrication tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment.
Operate and maintain standard maintenance tools including hand tools, power tools, electric tools, and precision instruments.
Work with various maintenance trades and components such as:
Electrical systems
Welding and fabrication
Pipefitting
Gearbox and bearing maintenance
Lubricating systems
Pumps and piping systems
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Modify or build equipment using electrical/mechanical schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals.
Document maintenance activities and equipment conditions using maintenance software.
Qualifications
Proven experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
Proficiency in welding and fabrication.
Familiarity with maintenance software and documentation practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid certifications for operating industrial vehicles.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
