With new concepts on the horizon and a commitment to setting new standards for excellence, we are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join us in shaping the future of the company! History was made in 2014 when Rich Labriola opened the first Stan's Donuts and Coffee location in Chicago, the result of a friendship and partnership formed years earlier with Stan Berman, founder of the iconic Los Angeles donut shop. Our dedication to quality and service is what sets us apart from the competition! You will often hear Rich mention "We don't have to be the biggest, but we do want to be the best in the space". Stan's Donuts and Coffee is growing at an extremely fast pace and we don't plan on stepping on the brakes anytime soon! We've seen tremendous growth in the last couple of years on the retail side and our wholesale division, and we're looking to add a strong, hands-on leader to our commissary plant that can handle this type of growth and expansion. What matters most To excel as our Quality Assurance Manager, you will need experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems for food production, along with a thorough understanding of food safety regulations and industry standards such as HACCP, SQF, and BRC. Strong leadership abilities are essential to lead and train the QA team effectively, while overseeing supervisors and technicians' work. The role also demands meticulous record-keeping and reporting skills, as well as a keen eye for detail during inspections and tests. Your knack for analyzing production data and identifying improvement areas will be crucial, as well as your ability to collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions and enhancements. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO, BRC, SQF). Conduct regular inspections and tests of raw materials, production processes, and finished products. Lead and train the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement. Schedule and oversee the work of QA Supervisor and Technicians. Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality control activities, test results, and inspection findings. Prepare and present regular quality reports to management. Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Work with production teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements. Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits. Ensure that all quality-related documentation and procedures are up to date and compliant with regulatory requirements. Develop and deliver training programs on quality assurance and food safety for production staff. Oversee the sanitation department ensuring cleanliness and guidelines are being followed for food safety. Other tasks and duties as assigned. Qualifications: 5+ years of Food Safety/QA Manager experience in a food production facility. SQF and PCQI certification preferred Experience leading a food audit ( BRC highly preferred ) Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. Fluent in English and Spanish preferred but not required Physical requirements: Stamina to work 50+ hours per week Close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus Walking, standing, and reaching for prolonged periods of time Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally Ability to withstand different production climates (hot, cold, loud, etc)
