Associate Director Of Alumni Relations
Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, the Associate Director will work within a collaborative office environment and share responsibility for managing programs and events intended to engage and connect alumni to UT and each other while cultivating and inspiring giving. Responsibilities include: Developing and implementing initiatives to meet strategic alumni engagement and fundraising goals. Managing regional alumni engagement in assigned geographic areas. Leveraging social media to foster volunteerism and improve event attendance. Managing UT's annual Alumni Weekend/Alumni Day activities. Collaborating with campus offices to create opportunities for alumni engagement. Managing all aspects of "affinity" Alumni Clubs/Councils. Developing and managing a Student Alumni Association. Managing event logistics and attendance for alumni events. Contributing to a work environment that encourages respect for and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds. Tracking alumni participation, event attendance, and engagement metrics. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree required and 5-7+ years of experience in higher education, volunteer management, nonprofit or similar field. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Raiser's Edge, Power Point, and related computer skills. Ability to work with clients, board, staff, consultants, and volunteers in a dynamic, results-oriented manner. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required. Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices. Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Summer: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
