As a Business Development Representative, you will drive revenue growth for the Intercom Sales organization through effective pipeline generation. The role involves engaging with prospects and customers to help them understand Intercom's value through creative and engaging prospecting. We invest in our BDRs and support development from within, with opportunities to grow and promote within the organization. We are looking for people excited to work in a fast-moving company, make an impact, and rapidly develop their sales career. Responsibilities Strategic Account Targeting : Partner with Enterprise Account Executives to build and prioritize highly strategic target account lists, including firmographics, technographics, and intent data to identify top opportunities. Expert Enterprise Prospecting : Generate new business pipeline through cold calling, highly personalized email, and targeted LinkedIn outreach; craft hyper-personalized messaging for C-level executives, orchestrate multi-threaded campaigns, and use sales intelligence tools to uncover insights and pain points. Exceptional Prospect Experience : Deliver an outstanding, tailored experience for prospective enterprise customers and introduce them to Intercom as a trusted advisor. Product & Market Acumen : Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Intercom's product suite and value proposition. Cross-Functional Optimization : Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Product to improve processes that impact enterprise pipeline generation and conversion, and provide field feedback.

Qualifications

Strong desire to build a career in Sales with potential to become an Account Executive or close deals in the future 1+ year of customer-facing work experience (SaaS experience is a plus) Experience and success with enterprise-sized accounts Operational Excellence: efficient time management to complete revenue-driving activities and identify where to focus for more pipeline Knowledge of SaaS landscape and target verticals; ability to stay current on industry trends Prospecting skills across multiple channels (phone, email, social) using modern sales engagement tools Effective verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate with peers Growth Mindset; willingness to seek feedback and improve daily Results-oriented with a drive to meet quotas and develop the team Bachelor's Degree preferred Familiarity with SFDC, Outreach, Cognism, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator
