Field Service Technician

As a Field Service Technician, you will be an integral part of the after-sales support team, responsible for installing and maintaining specialized equipment at customer facilities. Your role involves the repair and troubleshooting of CNC-PLC control equipment, programming, calibration and verification, and process optimization. You will also conduct acceptance and training during both internal and external installation and maintenance. Responsibilities: Complete programming tasks to implement solutions and perform calibration and adjustment processes. Identify and apply technical solutions to problems or incidents during after-sales services or commissioning to ensure equipment performance. Develop technical content for manuals, including control-operation, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance. Conduct final customer training for proper machine operation and manual usage. Maintain thorough records and project notebooks. Comply with company policies and meet performance expectations. Communicate pertinent project data and information to the project coordinator. Essential Skills: Experience with CNC/PLC hardware and software, specifically Fanuc 30iA and 30iB. Proficiency in CNC & PLC Software for troubleshooting alarms and tracing root causes. Understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings. Ability to rebuild cable connectors such as ethernet, Profibus, power cables, and Harting connectors. Experience with alignment of 5-axis CNC machines using Renishaw laser interferometer, granites, dial indicators, or laser trackers. Ability to perform disassembly, replacement, and adjustment of mechanical components. Ability to replace plug and play modules. Experience with C++ programming using Visual Studio code. Ability to work with SQL Server Management Studio. Additional Skills & Qualifications: High School diploma/GED required. Associates degree or technical certification preferred. Ability to occasionally travel internationally. Fluency in Spanish preferred but not required. At least 5 years of experience with 5-axis milling centers or similar (CNC and PLC Fanuc) for Aeronautics Industry. Why Work Here? Work Environment: This position requires significant travel to customer locations across the US. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential for more than eight hours per day or 40 hours per week on a second shift and/or weekends if necessary. You will primarily work at the company or customer facilities in Dallas, TX, within a manufacturing environment. Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Lynnwood, Washington.
