This Software Engineer position will hold mostly the software engineering activities, specifically writing code, managing the API/Events, writing, maintaining and executing tests through CI/CD in GCP. This person will help develop core platform functionalities in Originations. Responsibilities
Write simple, clear, and testable code for Events/APIs that meets customer needs and adheres to quality standards. Work closely with technical architects and stakeholders to refine technical designs and understand both functional and non-functional requirements. Investigate and propose effective solutions for development and design challenges. Participate in scope of work estimation and forecasting to support project planning. Ensure all development, design, and implementation practices comply with architectural, security, and best practice standards. Conduct analysis for integration needs, design integration plans, and perform thorough unit, integration, functional, and performance testing. Develop reusable software components and enhance existing systems by diagnosing and resolving critical issues. Prepare essential technical documentation and contribute to a collaborative team environment by mentoring colleagues and adhering to established development processes. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Desirable experience includes GraphQL or developing for multiple operating systems. 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, and building Cloud-Native APIs. Strong understanding and experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD principles, and automated testing tools (e.g., JUnit, SonarQube). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand code context and its relation to business objectives. Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and proficiency with key development tools (e.g., Git/GitHub, Jenkins). Experience with cloud development platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure), relational databases, and monitoring/profiling tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace). Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. A growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks. Nice to have
