is immediately hiring experienced
Marine Pipefitters
for projects located in
Freeland, WA.
This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate
up to $35/hr
based on experience and skill level plus
$164/per
diem
for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Marine Pipefitter eager to demonstrate your knowledge and skills while learning new ones, this is your chance to advance in your career!
Job Scope:
Layout
Preparation
Interpret blueprints, isometric drawings and schematics
Working with piping systems, fuel, ballast, cooling, water, fire and main hydraulics etc..
Plan and lay out pipe systems, routes and supports
Select and prepare materials, fittings and tools
Fabrication, assembly, cut, bend, thread, bevel and prepare pipe sections
Fit and assemble pipes, valves, flanges, brackets and hangers
Install and align pumps, valves and machinery connections
Use tack welding or brazing where permitted
Install and secure piping systems within ship compartments, machinery spaces and deck areas
Ensure piping runs
Maintain required clearances, accessibility and safety standards
Install supports, insulation and penetrations through bulkheads and decks
Testing, inspecting conduct, hydrostatic, pneumatic and operational testing of installed piping systems
Inspect joints, welds and fittings for leaks and compliance
Verify systems meet classification, society, NAVY, Coast Guard or shipyard requirements
Maintenance, repair, remove, modify or replace damaged or obsolete piping systems
Perform hot and cold work
Work in confined spaces
Requirements
Adhere to standards such as ABS and OSHA regulations
Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Marine Pipefitter
