Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking an
entry-level electrical engineer
for our Indianapolis, IN Headquarters, who will assist in delivering electrical engineering services to our clients.
Responsibilities
You will be involved with all phases of electrical engineering of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure. This includes power distribution, motor control, grounding and lightning protection, exterior and interior lighting, standby power generation systems, MCC design, specification writing, and construction cost estimating. You will have the opportunity to work on large municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities.
You will be assigned to a project team tasked with helping communities and industries solve their most challenging environmental infrastructure problems. Our team-based culture effectively fosters learning and growth, especially with entry-level engineers.
Assist team members in engineering tasks such as field work, inspections, engineering reports, construction engineering, and simple design calculations.
Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks.
Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
Review construction drawings and specifications.
Qualifications/Skills
B.S. in Electrical Engineering
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam certification
Ability to work independently and in team environments
Ability to speak and write professionally
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Must be able to procure a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Indiana in the future
Sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals with the ability to apply them to real-world applications
Control System coursework or experience is a plus
AutoCAD experience is a plus
