Job Description:
We are presently seeking candidates to fill an opening for a
Chemical Mixer 1st shift
in the Manufacturing Department, reporting to Chris Appleton. The hours will be 7:00 AM -3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Manufacturing material according to batch cards and mixing work instructions.
Inspection and recording of finished batches.
Maintaining material lot control information board.
Monitoring integrity of mixes and shutting down operations if out of compliance.
Cleaning mixing equipment between batches.
Bulk filling of 55-gallon drums and 275-gallon totes as required.
Assisting on production lines as needed.
Assisting in training of new mixers.
Computer experience and lift truck experience are required, must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.
Physical demands will include but are not limited to constant standing and walking throughout shift, occasional lift/push/pull up to 65 pounds, occasionally required to kneel, crouch, squat, twist.
Promoting and following all safety guidelines and procedures, and recommending safety improvements as needed
Recommend any process improvements that may help in your role.
Maintaining good housekeeping at all times.
Additional duties as required.
Internal candidates must have a very good record of concern for safety, quality and process improvement. A history of participation in workplace programs and initiatives in these areas is desired.
