Overview

The Network Engineer function is a technical position in IT. This position supports both in-place and in-cloud technologies via defined procedures. The position reports to the North America Infrastructure and Network Manager, and partners with a global networking team. The position supports both the voice and data networks for various Curium business functions. Work Schedule

Monday Friday 8am 5pm, Possible Hybrid option Essential Functions Provides technical expertise in the management of the Curium data and voice networks. Installs, supports and maintains local network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), phone switches, firewalls and wireless systems. Installs, supports and maintains network management, monitoring and security tools. Performs technical analysis of software, hardware and transmission facilities using various diagnostic tools in support of efficient network operations. Monitors, analyzes and troubleshoots network/telecom environments to remove faults and redundancy. Interacts with 3rd party service providers and IT suppliers. Creates and maintains documentation related to the network environment. Collaborates with other IT technology experts (security team, server team, helpdesk, etc.) on complex projects or problems. Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).

Requirements

Bachelor degree in Information Technology (computer science, information systems, etc.) or related business field or CCNP and equivalent work experience acceptable in lieu of degree. Prefer at least three with Information Technology Experience. Familiarity with programming and troubleshooting FortiNet firewalls. Advanced experience with LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies including routing, switching, routing protocols, network hardware, network management, and network security. Advanced experience with Cisco networking products. Has a command of the OSI model. Experience with network cable management. Has basic or advanced data network design skills. Has a strong understanding of carrier network interfaces and services and is proficient in VOIP/TDM and TCP/IP environments. Analytical Abilities - Advanced problem-solving skills including working collaboratively with peer technical teams to analyze & resolve cross-platform problems or to develop problem-solving techniques, tools & instruction for new or complex technologies. Business Knowledge - Strong understanding of how supported technologies are used in the business operations, consistently uses this knowledge effectively in daily support and handling unusual/critical issues. Communication skills - Strong verbal & written communication skills in primarily English. CCNA certification or similar knowledge essential, CCNP certification is an advantage and preferred.

Working Conditions

Willingness to work in plant producing radioactive materials and requiring all employees to participate in safety programs designed to minimize potential and/or actual exposure levels. Responsibilities include the ability to lift, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, reach, balance, and climb stairs and ladders with or without accommodation. Must be able to work outside of regular work hours on-call support required. May be required to sit for long periods of time while performing duties. Willingness to work in a team-based environment. Close attention to detail required. Must possess good hand-eye coordination. Infrequent travel may be requested.
