Overview
MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to serve as Senior Medical Director of Addiction Services. The successful candidate will be BC/BE in Addiction Medicine; administrative, leadership and research experience are desired. Responsibilities Provide oversight and development of a Substance Use Disorders Service for MHBH and the MaineHealth Behavioral Health Service Line. Oversee clinical programs and practices, academic programs including graduate and undergraduate medical education (GME/UME), research, and quality improvement efforts. Develop system-wide substance use disorder services, including opiate and alcohol addiction services, as part of MaineHealths unified behavioral health service line. Collaborate with MaineHealth leadership to expand an integrated behavioral health system across multiple locations (MHBHs 30+ clinical programs and ~30 service locations). Support the enhancement of education programs, including an Addiction Medicine Fellowship located at MHMMC, and learning opportunities for residents and medical students from MaineHealth GME programs and Tufts University School of Medicine partners. Establish and grow an addiction research program in partnership with the Center for Psychiatric Research.
Qualifications
Board-Certified Psychiatrist; BC/BE in Addiction Medicine. Administrative, leadership, and research experience is desired.
