Overview
We are searching for an Energy Storage Engineer on behalf of our client. This is a 1 yr. contract assignment. The ideal candidate would have 3+ Years experience Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction. The person will be supporting design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects. The person will work with diverse teams to solve problems, improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls. Pay Rate: $65.00/hr. + depending on experience. Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship. Note: No Third-Party or C2C Firms. Duties & Responsibilities Recognize inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action, and strive for better design quality and efficiency. Identify and resolve errors in engineering studies and suggest future solutions. Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts. Support projects from inception to completion by working closely with project managers. Influence project teams on engineering tasks. Stay updated on project progress and technical issues. Manage project milestones and recognize risks Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment. Work with diverse teams to solve problems, improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls. Understand specifications for major equipment purchasing, ensure clear communication, and propose solutions Understand permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements. Handle other assigned duties as needed. Travel 25% of the time for project specific duties.
Qualifications
3+ Years experience Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction Expertise in one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design. Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters. Familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections) Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730 Ability to handle specialized technical tasks independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
