Overview
General Manager in Training - Retail at Love's Travel Stops. Operations Managers assist/oversee daily operations to drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role involves leading a team, managing processes, and executing strategies to grow sales and meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Hands-on responsibility of multiple business operations up to and potentially including retail store, fuel, restaurant, fresh kitchen, and truck care.
Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through restroom and shower cleanliness, facilities, equipment maintenance, and safety checks.
Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and merchandising standards.
Assist the General Manager with proper task execution and completion, scheduling, cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
Understand financial reporting, including analyzing profit and loss statements and taking actions to capture opportunities.
Collaborate with managers in talent acquisition efforts.
Experience
2+ years in retail, travel stop or c-store, big box, grocery, or department store management.
2+ years managing operations with an annual sales volume of $2+ million.
2+ years handling budgets and P&L statements.
2+ years supervising and training 5-10+ employees.
Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Skills And Demands
Ability to work varied shift times including days, afternoons, evenings, nights, occasional overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer satisfaction focus.
Exceptional customer service, strong rapport building, salesmanship, and ability to manage operations and driver/vehicle deployment to ensure satisfaction.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
Effective teamwork skills.
Physical Demands: Regular talking and hearing; standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing; frequent lifting of items over 75 pounds; specific vision requirements.
